Hearts of Palm Mac and Cheese
SERVES: 2-4
PREP TIME: 30
INGREDIENTS:
3 cans of 14 oz Golden Farms hearts of palm- cut lengthwise then into half rounds (to resemble macaroni)
3/4 cup shredded Colby jack (or cheese of choice)
1 Tbsp butter
2oz heavy cream
Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder or seasonings of your choice
DIRECTIONS:
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Cut hearts of palm and rinse very well. Drain.
Boil for 5 minutes in either salted water or water plus chicken boullion.
In a separate small pan melt butter and add seasonings, cheese and cream.
Stir until smooth and combined.
Pour over drained hearts of Palm and combine.
Top with extra shredded cheese, if desired.
Bake for about 15 min until hot and bubbly.
